Double babies turn One

It seems like just yesterday the twins were born. I remember visiting them in the newborn ICU. So very tiny. It's hard to imagine that those tiny babies are the same pudgy toddlers that are celebrating their birthday.
Most of the cousin were able to come with made for a lot of babies .
The babies ate most of their giant cake grandma Netty made for them.

Papa Tim's zoo birthday

We went to the zoo for grandpa Tim's birthday

Nina's garden Blessing

Nina was blessed on a  nicely overcast Saturday at the end of August. The blessing took place in the beautiful backyard home that Adam sn Danielle rent in Ogden. It was a double blessing with her cousin who was born the same week.

We picked flowers from the garden to make a halo for the baby and flower arrangements for the tables.
It made for a lovely day.

Carley's first birthday

Carley's first Birthday Cakes
For the start of Her birthday and  Carley and Kenzie picked grandma up and we feed the ducks. One duck especially liked to jump up and grab the bread mid-air. Jumpy we affectionately called him.

The morning of Careley's Birthday . Grandma pickup the girls to feed the ducks. One duck which we affectionately called "jumpy" would run up and grap the bread mid-air. This was a funny until he dicovered that it was even easier to obtain bread directly out of the kiddies hands. No more bread for "Jumpy"

Carley was so excited  to see the brilliantly lite candle that it beckoned her to reach out and grad it instead of blowing it out. Ouch!!!!!!

Nina Estelle Smith

We received a phone call at 1:00 am from Danielle with an urgent plea to come to make hast to Ogden because she was in labor. We arrived a little After 2:00 am to a semi panicked Danielle and Adam. She was in full on labor.

A couple hours later we received a that baby Nina had arrived . Sister Mae could even say her name. Nee naa!

We took care of Mae at the house while they were at the hospital.
Mae enjoyed feeding grandpa more than eating her own food.
Welcome baby Nina !

Flying to see the boys

Flying to Phoenix on the new small carrier called Alliegent air was the perfect solution for Vicki Tj and I to avoid the 10+ hour drive . Getting there went without a hitch. Tim was away in Kansas running a marathon.

It was so nice seeing the boys , Challyn and Bobby of course. The boys are so adorable and Ollie is getting is getting his personality.

The first day on Saturday we did a little shopping and went to one of our favorite restaurants for lunch, Long Wongs (cheap and has the most amazing wings) with Jaxon and Bobby.

That night bobby and Challyn went out on a date. Meanwhile we surprised them with a super clean up their apartment and baby-sat the boys.

On Sunday , Vicki and I attended the ward . That evening we made homemade sushi and got a movie.

The plan ride home was a bit sketchy. We ended up changing planes 3 times after finding mechanical problems on the 2 of the planes. While waiting at the airport we learned about the Boston marathon bombings. This was super upsetting because last year we were right where and when it happened.

Phoenix is far away . It was fun to visit but I wish they lived closer .

She is potty trained now too. Which made here visit even more enjoyable.
